| Jes loves great music, big black pints of stout, sailboats and the outdoors. His bass story stretches back to the impulse buy of a $150 bass that wouldn't stay in tune and endless days flailing at Men Without Hats' Pop Goes the World in high school. Before helping form Squidjigger, Jes played bass in various projects, from heavy metal--in which a bassman's not doing his job if he's not liquifying intestines with sonic mayhem--to '80s goth, blues and folk. Jes also used to lay down the low end for folk-rock band Late for Dinner, and recently filled the bass chair on Daniel Iorio's single, Haven't We.
